Rachel Altenburg was born in Glasgow – Scotland’s largest city. Her ancestors originate from both Frankfurt, and the city of Altenburg, as Dukes and Duchesses. Therefore, she is looking forward to receiving the opportunity to explore Germany with the Miss Intercontinental organisation!

Currently, she is completing her honours year of full-time study at the University of Glasgow, working towards obtaining a master’s degree in Management and Social Policy. Education has always been extremely important to her and she consistently excel within academia.

She is a former international, competitive cheerleader – representing Scotland for thirteen years, developing qualities such as commitment, discipline and loyalty. She transfer these skills into her everyday life, and remain focused and determined in achieving her goals.

She is looking forward to meeting all of the contestants and cannot wait to represent Scotland in Germany!

She hopes this pageant will open her world to new people, cultures, and a bigger platform for her cause.
